Do you really mean the first time you wanted a lucid dream and had one, or was that just the first one you had that was the result of following a particular technique?
Just splitting hairs - "intentional" is a bit vague.

my first LD was in the 7th grade. I was flying so i got lucky! i know a lot of people want to fly but aren't able to
I dont remember my exact age, but I know I was in elementary school. In my dream, my school had been remodeled into a mansion that my family had won in a contest. I remember my exact thoughts, actually:
"Wow, this is so cool! I hope I'm not dreaming. But if I were dreaming I wouldnt know it, would I?" I reached out and touched a large vase. "Wow! I can feel it! This isn't really a dream!"
Of course, the excitement woke me up :P
i was such a young girl at that point, and I had no idea of the signifigance of that dream :)
My first was sometime last month. I've had two more since then, the third happened just last night. It was my first one that didn't fade when I became lucid.
Bah, I guess I was around 6 or 7...probably earlier actually. They were all very shallow, and I certainly didn't think of controlling them. Now that I think of it, alot of them were rather negative, knowing something bad was around the bend, but I couldn't wake up...Now I know better :).
I can't remember my exact age, but I was in grade school maybe around 8. Didn't pay much attention to it then. Not quite a good one cause I was being chased by royal guards.....
seems like everyone only "suddenly" realizes he/she is dreaming. :P
er i was abt 5/6, i'd be having a nightmare and try to wake myself up, but it never worked. i trained myself to commit suicide or something while dreaming, i figured it'd wake me up or at least deliver me from the nightmare to dream "heaven".
Was messing around in IT class aged 12 or 13, and came across this site. With it's help, I had an LD in a few months.
*thanks Dreamviews*
Six.
I was 20.
First moment of lucidity: 17 going on 18. I'd been fascinated with the thought of "controlling my dreams" for months, but had never read anything on the subject yet. I was having a pretty benign but bizarre dream. Something tipped me off as odd, and I realized and said loudly and proudly, "I'm in a dream!" And...grr...the dream faded immediately after that.
First continuing lucid dream: 18 going on 19. I was at college, in the late morning or early afternoon, finally back in my dorm room after having been up all night doing a radio astronomy observing project. I fell asleep and into REM very rapidly, and remembered that something had been different before. I realized I was dreaming. I proceeded to do all kinds of weird stuff - almost surely some flying. I don't remember how much I'd read or watched about lucid dreams up to that point.
i fly all the time. :) the only time i was ever on top of a building and intended to jump TO THE GROUND, i just appeared on the ground.. if i intend to fly off, i do fly. when i wanted to "kill myself" i would slam my head onto the ground or let myself fall over backward so my skull would crack. and it worked. but it was like moving thru cement. i hate that. i HATE moving through cement
I was 13. I got one the same night I first got into it.
I was about 12. Although it was not really all that lucid.
I was born lucid! :P
wait...that doesn't make sense...
But anyway, i can't remember at all if i was lucid except last week so, i guess i was 16 when i first had my lucid!
A damn lame one i might add!
My first occurred when I was about 10, and it was pretty humorous.
It was the night before Christmas, and I was very excited about getting presents the next day. I had a dream that I was in a city but the sky, buildings, and ground were all different shades of orange. All the buildings were 2-dimensional and slightly curvy. There seemed to be no one in the town but me, and it felt extremely desolate. I eventually realized that I was dreaming, and being afraid that I would miss Christmas morning, tried to wake myself up. I was opening and closing my dream-eyes, jumping off buildings, running into walls, anything to wake myself up. Finally, after what felt like hours, opening my eyes worked and I woke up, but it was such a strange feeling being trapped in a dream that I never forgot it.
6.
Maybe about 6 or 7? I still remember it was my first flying dream, and it was all in fluorescent colours. Freaky, hella fun, and still memorable to this day. :D
My first...
Maybe, 8 y/o?
Had em' quite regularly until I was about 10.
Haven't had one in 4 years...
Kinda why I joined.
