      After five months...

After more than five months i finally got my first lucid!

I've been trying for a long time now. DJ and RC.

Finally last night i got it. I don't remember WHAT made me lucid but i remmeber very clearly thinking. "Yes, this is it. I am dreaming." And then i got anxiety of what to do and how to stay lucid.

So i recalled my two things i wanted to do in my first lucid. One was flying and the other one was going to a special appartment in my home town.

I started running forward in my dream and then i jumped and started flying. It was great. However i was not in my own town. I might have been in sthlm or another of the larger swedish cities.

So when i landed again i started trying different things to get back to my home town. I wished for it to be around the next corner and alot of things.

Then i remebered somone telling me something about spinning being a useful thing. So i closed my eyes and started spinning. When i opened them i was just very disoriented and confused and fell to the ground. And i think i lost my lucidity there.

It was one of the greatest experiences i've ever had.
And the funny thing is, two nights before, i had'nt recalled a dream in almost a month. So i placed my Dream jounral in my desk and thought. "I'm never gonna leaarn this, fuck it". And then it happened!

You're lucky to be researching that stuff. I can't get lucid nearly often enough to even try dream control.
Anyway, good luck controlling your dreams, and remember we have a dedicated Dream Control forum if you have any questions

Congratulations! I have also had the problem where spinning doesnt do anything,i either end up in blackness or my dream just ends right there. Thats one thing i'm afraid of,that once i'm actually in an LD that i want to keep going,i'll spin to keep myself lucid but then i'll lose whatever i was dreaming about. Well keep up the practicing and i wish you more LD's!

You haven't heard of it? All you have to do is buy the $300 monitor upgrade and may I recommend the extended warranty?
