Only just got to this zone... (too excited) anyway HELLOOOOO

Only just got to the Newbie Zone as I've been too excited to stop going through the topics... and adding what I hope have been useful comments.

GREAT SITE! I now feel a little less insane (!?!?!) Can't wait to get to know everyone (all 1000+ of you).

Had a dream last night that I met some of the people who set up the site. Not good recall... but it was in a museum, and I was being shown the prize exhibit - a lance/ standard belonging to ?King Arthur, which was also a clock/ pendulum. There were also big bowls with hundreds of handwritten posts (kinda like pre-internet chat). Mean anything?

That's all for now. Once again thanks to all the folk who run (and participate) in this unique forum. LICKYLICKYLICKY

      WELCOME!!!!

It's great that you are excited to be here. If your desire to LD is half as big, I'm sure you'll be lucid in no time...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

LOL!!!!!!!!!! That was a great dream you had there. Now that you've mentioned it, I think I'll have a similar dream tonight.

      Welcome welcome!

      Thanks for the welcome folks!

Had posted on the adopt a newbie forum - mainly to help get acquainted with the site rather than LDing. Not sure I need it now...
Wanted to point out that I am an experienced lucid (EDIT: oops not lurid) dreamer so here's the post by way of a better introduction.

      Name
      John-Paul
      Age 35

Abilities(what you can do, how often lucid.)
Have been a lucid dreamer all my life, and have always had great dream recall. My mum reminds me that every morning she had to listen to me recounting my (long and detailed!) dream adventures. I can fly (levitate, 'swim', 'slide upwards', bounce (like the hulk but bouncier)) teleport, swim through solid objects, push through mirrors and windows to other scenes, continue dreams from one night to the next, go from waking to lucid dreaming (with varying degrees of success), summon, transform etc etc..
I have used dreaming as problem solving - mainly practical stuff rather than self-development.

      Interests
Apart from lucid dreaming I am an inventor/designer and work on environemntaly responsive architecture. I enjoy travelling and have been to India, China, Peru etc.. Also interested in T'ai Chi, Chi Gung, Tibetan Tantra, and most recently Tibetan dream yoga. I first came across this site whilst researching a book I want to write with my partner (also a lucid dreamer) 'how to do dream flying' (need a better title!!!). I have realised that this site is an incredible resource and wonder how I could benefit the Dream Views community if this book gets published (and sells).

      Goals
I would like to explore the Tibetan stuff and WILD techniques, including doing a 'dark retreat' sometime soon. Would like to use it more for personal development and esoteric stuff, like healing, premonitions, and shamanic work. Would also like to be able to meet others in dreams (not sure if I believe this is possible...). Lots of questions in this area.

Amount of time you've been having lucid dreams
As long as I can remember, and about one per week if I'm not trying, most of the night if I am.

and anything else you can think of that is relevant.
Wonderful site, thank you thank you thank you. Its good to know that there are so many other *dreamers* out there - I can talk to people without getting dodgy or blank stares!!!

      Welcome to DV slimslowslider!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe, that WAS an interesting dream. I think it just means that you think our site rocks and you should continue to worship us and then send us money. Yes...that's my professional analysis.

Anyway, glad to have you with us! And I'd be happy to give you the virtual tour....no prize exhibits yet though, sorry . But feel free to email or PM me if you have any questions about LDs or the forum in general. And awesome quote, by the way!

      Ciao!
      xoxo,
