Hi, I'm Da_bomb143 and im a wannabe lucid dreamer...

I've been attempting (being the keyword) to lucid dream for a while now, but i haven't yet succeded. I can recall dreams fairly well, but sometimes i struggle to remeber them at all. If there are any really good techniques, tips or other helpful things, could you please let me know.

First of all, welcome, I don't think that I'm the person to welcome you here because I suck and I have only a very few posts...

... But anyway, writing dream journals as soon as you wake up is essential if you want to have better dream recalling, I'm still a newb in this stuff, so I'll let someone more experienced to answer this question for you.

Dream journals are by far the best way to improve your dream recall. If you've been trying for a few weeks, and its not working, there is a way where you are almost guaranteed to remember a dream. Set your alarm for a few hours after you go to sleep. This should wake you up during the dream, and if we wake up during a dream we usually remember it.

The biggest thing with building dream recall is to be consistent. Make yourself write in your journal every morning. If that's not enough, as Webmaster suggested, try waking up in the middle of the night after/during a REM phase (when you're dreaming), and try to think of the last thing you can remember doing.

Also, another little tip is that when you first wake up, don't move. Just lay still and try to recall the last thing you can remember. Once you remember something/anything, you'll find that most of the time you'll be able to recall more of what happened by working backwards from there. Once you have an idea of what happened, write down a brief summary in your DJ, and then you can go back and fill in the blanks with the specifics.

      welcome to the forums.

I don't give many greets.. so either feel special... or realise you're a victim.

      I'll be watching you.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

Good advice. Another thing that I've found to improve dream recall is to review your dreams from the night before, right before you go to sleep.
