      Vivid dreams

Has anyone managed to LD when in a super vivid dream. My dreams tend to be very intense, kind of like an action adventure film meets sci-fi. I'm not always the central character, sometimes I'm more sitting back and watching and occasionally feeling what the players in this dream are feeling. Gaining more lucidity in these types of dreams would be cool...doing it on purpose would be even better.

If you mean completely realistic and vivid... while being lucid.... yes I've had this only once.
Unfortunately it only lasted about a minute.

And my control was limited due to the realism. However it was a spectacular scene - next to a lake, with autumn colours and the sun shining brightly. Vineyard to my left above puppies playing on the grass.
And amazingly realistic ripple effects on the lake.

I couldn't fly... probably due to what I said already, it was 'too' realistic

      Sci-fi meets adventure dreams

In my dreams it has been anything from whitewater rafting through the streets of my old hometown on a mattress and reaching a safe haven which was my old apartment there.....on the 3rd floor through a window or rock climbing in the middle of nowhere or rushing through forests or whatever.

So to me the dreams are intense and I feel like I've actually lived it but there is a definite surrealness to the dreams. I don't have these all the time, but when I do I feel blown away cause they are so real. So I'm not sure how lucid I am as I have not got control over the situation but it seems that sometimes I can look at what's happening from a distance or watch what's going on up close. Its really cool is what it is, I can't wait to be able to do this on purpose.

Most of my LDs seem vivid, while im in them anyway-im always wondering if it is actualy a dream and double checking.
But im still trying to find that spot with spectacular scenery

      Fantastic scenery in vivid LDs

Wow that sounds cool. I have had interesting landscapes in my dreams but very surreal. Often times its a collage of places I have been in my life all put together. So say parts of my first highschool in Town A and the gym and sports fields of my highschool in Town B, but the mainstreets of yet another place I've stayed.

I can't wait to be more aware during the dreams I have like this, but even so usually by the second half of these dreams I am pretty aware and rewind to earlier parts and redo them if I didn't like the outcome....though I'm usually being woken up by someone at this point. Grrr! Sleep is sacred to me, but understand its not my life I simply enjoy falling asleep and dreaming.

The first time I performed a WILD, I had the most intence, vivid and aware lucid dream I have ever had. Everything was too real, perhaps even more real than this world, if that makes any sense. I wasn't limited in my powers, though. I was able to perform a gravity defying jump/short flight and put my hand throught a mirror...

The most important thing I did in that dream, though, is to admire the reality of it all, cherish that moment. It was a spiritual experience...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Yeah, but then I realized that I wasn't dreaming. I was really at school. And I really did get on top of the teacher's desk and start dancing and singing Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal'. And I really did get in school suspension. But hey, I'm popular now. Just goes to show you how a mistake, with five minutes of doing something bizarre, can get give you a whole school year of fame!
