Hey, my names sam and Im kinda new to the whole lucid dreaming thing. I started to notice that in certain dreams i was able to take control, but when i spoke to friends and fmaily about it they just looked at me wierd so when i could, i would tell myself that i would do a what i now know to be called a "reality check". after this, i went through a period of no lucid dreaming but still wanted to feel in the way i did when lucid, like ur in another world/reality and not in normal life. thats when i started to expriemtn with drugs and stuff but then i found out wat i did wasnt me being crazy =] so yer just here to learn and share SamWise

Hello Sam and a big WELCOME to Dreamviews. Its almost impossible to explain the amazing sensation and experience that a LD brings to a person who has not experienced it and I probably would have been a skeptic B4. My biggest regret is that it took me 49 years to experience my first LD and only found out it was called Lucid dreaming by a distant friend who had only heard about LDing but never experienced it and was a bit of a skeptic. Now your task is to improve your skills and make a positive contribution on this site of like minded and LD focused people. Welcome to our world, our dreamworld. Let the skeptics and disbelievers suffer in their normal world. We know better. Can the drugs. We can get high without them and enjoy the experience more. Best wishes.

Cheers all =] I ahve only experianced 3 LDs (that I can remember =]). 2 lasted quite a while, enough for me to do some crazy stuff =D and 1 lasted about a minute as I got very overexcited xD It was wierd coz two of my schoolmates were in it, they both randomly blurted out "hey guesswhat sam, your in a dream" and then vanished =/ lol. Yer the reason i started drugs was because i found reality too....restricting and samey. LDing I can see now as the way forward, better than any drug so I hope I can learn some more! SamWise
