Hi, my name's Chris (though some people call me Carlos). Some people from another message board that I'm a member of mentioned this site, so I figured I'd sign up. I had no idea there was such a strong lucid dreaming community.
I'm 27 (turning 28 next week) and I've been "lucid dreaming" since I was about 7-8 or so. I used to have terrible nightmares when I was a child, and it seems that I learned how to lucid dream as a defense mechanism. While I have good to excellent control, a lot of the time I'll just sit in a dream and see where it takes me, only intervening when things are going in a direction I don't want to go in. I probably take active control of a dream 3-4 times a week.
I'm interested in this site because I'd like to hear about everyone's experiences, and possibly refine my techniques, since when I take full control of my dreams, I wake up very tired in the morning, and sometimes have slight headaches.
So, feel free to ask me whatever, I'm a pretty open person.
And...go!
