      Not Another Dreamn Newbie

SO Im from the great state of Texas but Im currently stuck in Florida, which is pretty descent place to be stuck in my opinion. Im pretty much perpetually bored these days because i used to live a really fast paced life in which i always had something to do or someone to party with but thats exactly what got me stuck on the east coast. so now i try to stay bored because bored means not in trouble.

Now for why Im here. as long as i can remember dreams have had a weird place in my heart. I have like 10 or 15dreams from when i was just a kid that even to this day are still amazingly vivid and stir up strong feelings. Kinda seems like they are of some great importance that i cant comprehend yet. Probably dont really but thats just kinda how they feel ya know??? I also have, on several occasions, apparently I was dreaming and had a feeling that didnt really go along with what was happening so I would kinda think "wait a minute this doesnt seem rig--BAM im awake for a few seconds with that same "this doesnt seem right feeling" before it it dawns on me that i was dreaming but now Im back in bed. I cant remember one time when we used to have a farm, I repeatedly had a dream where i woke up to what sounded like coyotes attacking our goats(not uncommon for where we lived) so i get the shotgun and go outside to investingate and i notice the moon looks huge (everytime, always notice the size of the moon) then i get to the barn(which doesnt make sense b/c the goats were never in the barn in the waking world) and when i open the barn door there is a goat laying just past the doorway. its a normal goat except its got "horns" kinda like a giraffe. normally i would have considered this odd and called the vet but for some reason this just completely terrified me. as soon as the door opened and i saw the goat I scream like a little girl every time lol. then i realize my reaction isnt normal and then im awake.

newaz im rambling so moving right along eventually I saw VANILLA SKY and my ex and i became totally obsessed with it. lol once we were on a normally very busy street in Houston and i stopped to get gas but the pump wouldnt come on so i went to the window to get the cashier to turn it on but noone was around. there was a car there and all the lights were but i couldnt get anyone to come and then i heard her (my ex) scream "VANILLA SKY!!!" and i turned around and she was in the middle of the street and when i got to her there werent any cars or people for as far as we could see. even though it was like 3AM it was very strange to have been that deserted. good times. anyway that movie was the first time i heard the term LUCID DREAM and paid any attention to it. Since then I have tried to find info about them on many different occasions but always found it alongside stuff like astral projection and psychics and other hard to believe stuff that would inevitably turn me off to it for a time. but this forum seems different so hopefully Ill get somewhere now. NEWAZ glad to find yall thanx for your time

gday, and welcome to this great place called Dreamviews.

I really sympathise with what you say about finding LD information along side new-age things you dont believe in

This is why dreamviews is the best LD website in my opinion. DIscussion without conflict! and lots of help if you ever need to ask

I'd suggest getting stuck into reading the 'tutorial section' and other newbie's posts in this same section for help of how to best get stuck into Lucid Dreaming.

Any specific questions? if not...best of luck with Dreaming!

Haha I would describe it as discussion WITH conflict, depending on which section of the forums youre referring to

On the topic though, I find the best thing about DreamViews is there are people from all sorts of religions, beliefs, likes, hates, stereotypes, problems, succeses and goals, but we all come together on the intrigue of the dreamworld.

      Hope you like it here!

      Welcome, innerCker, to DreamViews.

I know what you mean about lucid dreaming often getting lumped in with the new age stuff. In my opinion, it waters-down the credibility of lucid dreaming and stigmatises the entire concept. Those who don't understand will always think of it as a fantasy and not a real, natural phenomena. Oh well, their loss. We know the truth and that's all that matters.

We're glad you found us. Enjoy your stay.

Well Thanx for having me. This is the first LD website I've found that I feel i could really vibe with so a big thanx goes out to everybody who contributes. I've have already started reading the tutorials and have read over a large chunk of 'em so I have a pretty decent idea the steps to come and I'm really psyched about continuing my journey. I have been keeping a DJ which has already sorta shocked me. I always thought I remembered my dreams fairly well but since starting a bonafide DJ i never really realized exactly how much I had been forgetting. so again thanx to everyone for doin what ya do and thanx for havin me!!!
