Hi, everyone! My name is Tamias, and I am a Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrel from Yosemite National Park. I have my own band and conduct the Woodland Orchestra (not those posers who make their instruments out of living things), and I write prose and columns for my newspaper. I center my actions around bringing people happiness through whatever I can do, and I believe life should be lived in fun, frolic, and joy, free from responsibility and pain. Naturally, I harbor a great affection for myself and everything I see in this wonderful world. You'd be surprised how very little squirrels actually have fleas ^_^ Ok, so you wouldn't, it's a big number. So I can't promise an absolute absence of fleas (though I think I'd be able to tell if I have them; I never checked). I don't think I have rabies, though, that's a good thing...! ~Tamias

A BIG WELCOME TAMIAS. (what with all the nuts and scratching)! I dont know about the direction that this threat is taking though.... Combine the quote above with the talk about fleas.....IS THERE A CONNECTION????? You have already received sound advice on starting a dream journal, just a notepad beside the bed will do, writing down every detail about your dreams that you remember. This will encourage your mind to remember more. Also start doing reality checks frequently during the day and make it a habit. You will eventually do a RC during a dream and become lucid. Dont try to become lucid at this stage, let it come to you. Get the habits installed first. Good luck and again, Welcome.

That dog had it coming to him - we protect our own. And the power outtages? One of my friends tells me that was done on a dare. Sure did screw a few things up. ^_^ About the swimming - aside from Twiggy, squirrels are generally not natural-born swimmers. The large ratio of fur-to-body-mass quickly makes it so that when the fur gets damp, it adds much more weight than most squirrels can support... That's why I stay away from the sink! And thanks for the big welcome, Ronstek! I had Ben (my "care-provider" or what have you... he's the one whose laptop computer I utilize) check last night three times, and he finally just went to bed after telling me that no, I didn't have fleas for the third time. Here's to trying to recall a dream! ~Tamias
