      My Story

      Hello everyone!

Just joined the group and I must say that im pretty happy with the wealth of information and experiance here.

I have been having Lucid dreams on my own for years not knowing that there were methods to gain more control over them. I usually realize im dreaming when I fly or do something out of the ordinary. In the past I have maintained these lucid dreams for sometime getting to explore them for some anount of time..... Untill I found this group......

I first came to this forum two days ago and had a look around. I read up on some of the toutorials and such and found them to be interesting and logical. Im a serious critical thinker. So I started doing reality checks the first day. That night I had a lucid dream but it wasent what I expected. I was at an old Football feild from my childhood. I then came to a hill that I needed to walk down. So I did. But I didnt walk. I floated. At the bottom of the hill I asked my self "did i just float down that hill" but i couldent say for sure. I then noticed a foot ball laying there and i picked it up and told myself if this is a dream I should be able to throw this football out of the stadium. So i gave the football a light toss and it launched out of my hand like a missle clear out of sight. I then yelled in excitement "this is a dream" and as soon as I did It started fading. I tried to fight it but I couldent. I was pretty impressed that I had one on my first night of trying.

So last night before i went to bed I got on here and looked for ways to steady the dream. I really didnt think i would have a lucid dream two nights in a row. But I did. I was walking down a hallway and I saw a clock on the wall. I glanced up at it like I do when i pass clocks to see the time. but something was odd about it. When i took a second look I realized that the markings on the clock where the numbers should be didnt make any sense. I instantly knew then I was in a dream and again it started fading. I then tried different things to stablize myself. I spun around a few times, rubbed my hands together, and then i looked at my hands. when i looked at my hands I could see through them and my body was made up of what looked like outer space. I felt like it was taking allot of mental energy so I let go. It also felt like when I was moving that I was underwater and sluggish. But I have to say that it lasted longer then it did the night before.

I know this is a long post but I just felt like sharing my experiance with the rest of you guys.

If you have any helpfull ideals for me that would be great.

to DreamViews, jamison! That's great that the reality checks are working so well for you already! Good job on remembering to spin and rub your hands, too.

Just keep reading and trying, that's the best idea.

I hope you have fun here!

      Wow.
Two LDs in two nights. Impressive stuff.

Welcome to Dream Views. Your lucid periods may have been short but if you keep doing what you're doing with the reality checks and remembering the techniques used to prolong lucidity you should be having some monumental Lucid Dreams in no time.

Keep at it and good luck prolonging those lucid dreams of yours.
