      Hiya

Hey everyone. I have a feeling I'm going to be around here a lot in the coming days so I just wanted to say hello to everyone.

My name in RL is Mike, and I had heard about lucid dreaming before but it came up in conversation today so I looked it up. I've been reading for the past hour and a half. Very interesting stuff.

Although, my dream recall sucks... I haven't remembered many dreams in the past year, and if I do, they're quite vague. So this may be a long journey. Nevertheless, I have a journal and a pen right next to my bed and my alarm is set for 4:30 so hopefully I can write down some dreams and start getting better at this.

Hello and welcome to the site.

The dream journal is a great start. It also helps to interact here in the forums. Ask questions, offer up advice, and talk about your dreams as much as you possibly can online and off. (without coming off looking like a raving lunatic, of course).

The more you you infuse yourlife with the topic of dreams the easier it may get for you to recall info inside and outside of dreams.

I set my alarm for 4:00 am, but it's to get up for work, not to help with my own quest for lucid dreaming.

My own recall is here and there, but I've recently been able to get back with my quest and have written down some interesting dreams I'd had since I started back with it. I actually need to get a notebook to use for a just-woke-up dream journal so I can record them while I remember.

Good luck with the recall. Even starting out with something vague like "I had a dream that involved a sink of some sort" should help you with the recall. Eventually you should be able to remember more as you get in the habit.

Good attitude there Mike (my name as well IRL). Write whatever you can when you wake...even just little snippets and it sounds great that you've already taken to reading about dreams...with more knowledge, more lucid dreams will follow...I wish you luck, beleive me, you'll enjoy this, it's a good thing to be interested in..You can use lucid dreams either just for fun, or for deeper insight unto yourself and life..that's the truth and it only takes one lucid dream experience to get you hooked . I'd suggest looking at the links Clairity provided...they'll cement in some basic knowledege for you.

Anyway, welcome, and enjoy your ride
