      unusual dreams

i have always considered myself to have more unusual dreams than others around me, i dream every single time i sleep and i can remember them every time i wake up. about a month or so ago i switched to midnights where i work and im starting to get these strange dreams. the actual content of the dreams themselves arent always very strange, but they are so lucid and so long that i actually feel like ive been dreaming for days at a time. just last night i slept from 1am to 5am and i get so disoriented when i wake up because in my dream i counted exactly 27 days that went by, i woke up and i miss my family and my friends just as though i went on a month long trip by myself. it is driving me insane, my girlfriend worries about me because whenever i go to sleep and awake, i feel like ive been gone for a very long time. i dont like this at all, why does it happen?

in my latest dream i moved to mexico, everything happened in sequence 1 day at a time for 27 days precisely. i experienced the airport the plane ride all kinds of people and i bought a house with my money that i can remember working to earn. i even remembered going to sleep and waking up in mexico. when i woke up in my bed in my REAL home i thought i was dreaming but after a good 10 minutes i could feel that this life was a little bit more realistic than the last.

i also experienced another really strange thing in my dream. i have a cell phone and something happened while i was in mexico that my phone broke and in the dream as i tried to repair it, the battery became so hot that it burnt me and i could feel that it really hurt, when i woke up the first thing i did was grab my phone and my fingers really hurt alot like as if they were burned. i was only asleep for 4 hours...

also, i dont cry very often but when i wake up from dreams like this i cant help but bawl my eyes out. they arent even nightmares its just every single night i dont have a choice anymore and i have to always leave the people i love for such long periods of time and i hate it, these dreams are tearing me apart

also, all my dreams are lucid...somewhat. i can chose what to do but within certain guidelines (kind of like a videogame) the dreams are already predetermined somehow and i have limited ability.

Can you still make people dance for no reason? Thats the only reason I bother with lucids any more.

I am having the same problem, just as if my dreams are either predetermined, or controlled by someone else...I only have seemingly two different options in my same, daily dreams...most frustrating, right?

Same here, but not as often as before.

If you could make yourself lucid enough, you could wake yourself up.
Try spinning around with your eyes closed, it wakes up most people.
If that doesn't work, try looking idly at one spot for some time, the dream should begin to fade according to LaBerge.
A more long term solution would be trying to become lucid and altering the dream's speed with willpower.
About the cell phone burning your hand and you feeling it in WL, it was phantom pain. Your brain was just convinced that your hand was hurt, although it wasn't.
Hope some of this helped, you got quite a weird situation.
