      First recorded LD!

I had my first recorded LD since starting my dream journal last night! Even though it only last about 15 seconds because I got too excited, I managed to do great things in that 15 seconds First off, yesterday I had to put my dog down which sucks Everytime after I put an animal down though I have lucids for about a week straight I've noticed.. I always end up dreaming about them and then I know that they've passed away so I just tell myself I'm dreaming and I become lucid Anyways, so that's what I did last night. I saw my dog in it's bed in my dream and realized I was dreaming and told myself to become lucid. First thing to come to mind was the girl I like, so I materialized her infront of me and we started kissing. We stopped after like 10 seconds though and I could feel the dream slipping away.. so I closed my eyes but that didn't seem to help cause I felt if I opened my eyes that the dream would end. So I ended up losing lucidity and waking up

Anyone else have problems with their dream control once lucid?

Apfelpfankuchen, I'm sorry about your dog.

My dream control is helped when I get "grounded" in my dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it can be) instead of immediately racing to do something before I lose lucidity.

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also helps me remain in the dream longer).

You may also try to increase your vividness by confidently stating aloud "increase lucidity" or "clarity now".

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be"

This would be a DILD (Dream Initiated Lucid Dream).

hey man congrats on ur lucid dream. You remind me of me when i first started practicing lucid dreaming i would always think of the girl i like. unfortunately when u engage in sexual related things its often really hard to hold on to ur lucid because u tend to lose focus. You need to become stable first and have clarity, just focus on being lcid then worry about changing things, good luck ,man let me knwo how it goes.

That must have been exciting! Think about it, it's your most vivid, lucid, productive, enjoyable and sexy lucid dream since records began!

thanks guys! Yea I think the main thing to work on next time would be my control. I shouldn't jump to a situation like that, instead I should just work on staying lucid at first.
