Hey whats up peeps? Completely new to all this.

Well yeah just thought i'd intro myself 'round here.

U can call me illz, i'm completely new to the whole concept of being able to control your own dreams at will. Although I have had A lucid dream in the past that I can remember, which only lasted for around 2 seconds before I woke up. I consider my dream recall to be pretty decent atm, (not great, I can usually remember my dreams the next day, but most of the time no more than one per night) but i'll be writing up a dream journal every night.

So yeah, any tips for a newbie?

      WELCOME!!!
It sounds like you are doing the dream journal (DJ) Thing which is a good one.
For beginners a lucid dream does often last only seconds becasue their excited mind wakes them up!
      Relax and let it flow.

      Hah thanks for the welcome.
I've started trying to do those 'reality checks', such as checking my watch time and checking if it works right (by pressing the light button), also checking my hands and reading texts etc... Just wondering how often i'm supposed to do these, is it the more the better? And which of these checks are the most effective.

PS: nice pic in your sig Howie, we got shown that in our Psychology class for perception.

illz, I'm glad you decided to join us!

With reality checks (RCs), most feel that the more you do, the better. As long as you seriously check your reality and not just go through the motions.. any reality check that you remember to do is the most effective.
