Hey, got a couple of questions.

Hey ive been interested in dreams scince a young age and just recently got right into it, so now im trying to become a lucid dreamer. My main goal is to fly, which is what id choose if i could choose any super power ahaha. Ive jsut started a dream journal, and on my 1st night i remembered 4 dreams, but then the 2nd night jsut 1 which i guess is still good. Anyway ive got a couple of questions that i would apreciate anyone answering. Thanks in advance.

I read that people train themselves for certain things in real life from their dreams. Like practicing public speaking. Is it possible to practice guitar in a dream and take that into real life? Id imagine you would be able to 'dream up' some music and if you can remember what it sounded like transfer it into real life. Am i on the right track here?

Also, ive always wanted to travel to space. Is flying around space and looking at the earth a highly advanced skill in lucid dreaming? Have you done it?

hey there Chris, and welcome to Dreamviews.

--> There were a few other threads around...ill try to find them for you later, about playing instruments in dreams. Obviously you are not restricted by skill, and people say its an exciting experience. As for real world practice...nothing beats playing or simply pretending you are playing in your head whilst awake! in sleep you run the danger of losing realism of the instrument.

But you can dream compose too. Providing you have a good enough dream recall to remember your composition. And you have to be careful your brain didnt just 'remember' something it had heard in real life

--> as for flying in space....that is a very un-real experience and would be considered a more advanced pursuit by some...but dont let that throw you off. As soon as you start to get Lucid...your main goals should be stabilising and hanging onto lucidity....and then start to work on your fantasies.

      Goodluck!

Thanks for the reply. I will have to remember your advice on just hanging on to lucidity, but knowing me i will be to excited and lose it ahaha.

no problems...yeah...the first times I became Lucid....i launched into flying! a pretty exciting endeavor for a noob, even though I knew I shouldnt. If you can remember to examine and feel your hands...even whilst doing something else--I advise it!

If you have any other questions, shout

james! i play elctric guitar. sometimes when im playing something simple my dad comes in and plays jimi. it really annoys me cus i can't play it like that yet.

hey. it took me about four controlled lucid dreams until i could actually fly high up. depending on a lot of things, you could find difficult or easy.

ah, good stuff god incarnate...but Jimi's music is uniquely tricky. Keep up the practice

The reason I didnt suggest flying too high was not because its "hard" (after-all...its just a dream, so anything should be easy)...its just really exciting...so it may make you loose lucidity or wake unless you stabilise the dream first....but nothings gonna stop anyone from trying it anyway
