      Is this normal?

I'm trying to improve my DR (first step to become lucid). I was getting alot better at it, but latley I wake up and feel like I haven't had a dream at all. Can tiredness affect your ability to recall?

Tiredness does not DIRECTLY affect it; but the reason you are tired could be the reason behind your reduced recall.

      not been sleeping 7-8 hours?
      inconsistent bed times?
      Stress?
      Sickness?

These things will make you feel tired, aswell as taking away recall. Tiredness is a symptom, not the cause/

Lay perfectly still with your eyes closed when you wake up. Your mind will think it's going back to sleep and turn on everything that it needs to dream. Your dream memory is one of those things and you will then remember your dream. It shouldn't take very long, less than a minute.
