      Newbie here..

Hey all I was researching lucid dreams and such because I've had the natural ability to do this all my life and did not realize what it was till recently.

When I was a kid I used to have a nightmare every night, but now I realize it wasnt a nightmare ... It was my transition from sleep to dreams...

Every night when I went to bed I would always start falling and hearing loud voices and noises... I thought I lived in a haunted house or something till I researched my ability to control dreams... and I had these same falling sensations when I grew up as well. As of late I have not been controlling my dreams as much though. Just wanted to see if you lucid dreamers out there have had the same type of things happen to you in your life?

yes sometimes. If you reach a high level of lucididy then you should have total control over your dreams.

In spite of that this is just my second post I still welcome you to DreamViews!

I've never actually had the feeling of falling like you describe, but upon awakening I've often been having SPs with scary noises. Although I've found a way to wake up faster from them, I just shut my eyelids as hard as I can until I hear a "humming" sound. A few seconds of "humming" and I'm awake.

      Best regards,

nickas, when I was a child I would sometimes hear sounds/noises as I fell asleep or if I happen to wake up in the middle of the night.. my solution was to sleep with the blanket over my head.
