      I believe I'm close!

Yesterday evening I tried another technique which I thought would work better in attempting to do a WILD. I've always been interested in drawing and therefore I had a positive attitude to the Hypnogogic Imagery Technique - since I'm familiar with imaginating the drawings I draw before drawing them.

After I went to bed and relaxed it didn't take long until I started to see images of Donald Duck in the Disney films. By time the images got more vivid and after a while I found myself watching a film about Donald Duck. I could hear the typical music of Disney films and the voice of Donald. Suddenly I got a really intense feeling of falling forwards in spite of the fact I knew I actually was lying on my back in bed. It lasted for a little less than a second because I got really surprised and a bit excited when it happened.

I will keep practicing this technique because I think it suits me.
Anyone else out there using this technique?
Do you have any tips on how to enter the dream (without getting too surprised)?

      Hello, and welcome to Dreamviews!

I'd think that now that you've experienced the sensation, you will be less suprised next time. Its a common feeling, falling, so after you feel it a couple of times it shouldn't startle you enough to wake you up.

I just remembered that I had a DILD last night!
Royal Blue color is Lucid State.
      Here it goes:

I remember that I ran around a huge building escaping from zombies. When I entered a big room I saw a window and I thought it would be scary to approach it. But then I realized I should face my fears, like you should do in dreams. Then it all came to me that I actually was dreaming. I went for the window and opened it and next to the building outside I saw a huge city spreading out into the distance. I climbed out and went for the roof, everything was so clear and my intention was clear as well. I was going to make the city nice again. First I looked down at the zombies and thought I should make them normal. I swept my hand across my field of vision over the zombies and as I did the zombies became human. It didn’t take long until all of them continued with their normal doings. Then I remembered the other intention I had and that was to watch a beautiful sunrise in a dream. I stretched out my hand in front of me just above the horizon in the distance, as if I was going to pull up the sun in an invisible string. So I did, a big red and yellow sun appeared in front of me and lit me and the city up.

Can’t remember what happened after that, but I’ve promised myself the next time I’ve a lucid I’ll do my best to wake up at will to remember more.
It's a possibility I was in a strange Semi-Lucid state; 'cause I climbed up to the roof instead of trying to fly up there.

EDIT: Or wait a second, I just realized that I got to know that I was dreaming when I was close to the rooftop. *sigh* I really must try to wake up at will instead of losing this much memory.

      Congratulations!
Sometimes you still have a partial sense of having to follow the rules, even when you're lucid. Its a hard concept for your mind to grasp that the laws of physics don't apply, and it doesn't help that parts of your brain are inactive during dreaming.

      Thank you!

Yesterday evening when I tried to WILD I didn't get the feeling of falling again. Instead
it felt like I suddenly stopped breathing, unfortunately I got freaked out automatically.
Although I do see every little step towards a WILD as a success and therefore I went to
sleep all happy after I had freaked out.
