i've just woken up after having my first lucid dream !
it wasn't particularly vivid, and i had trouble exerting control, but otherwise i'm very proud of myself, and especially since it's only been three days since i first found out about lucid dreaming !
i had several other dreams during the night about themeparks and such, but i could barely remember them. it was only when someone downstairs woke me up at about four in the morning that i started lucid dreaming.
i was in the apartment that i'm staying at, in the bathroom standing next to the sink. i glanced at my hand, thought "am i dreaming ?" and realised i was dreaming ! the dream started to fade a little so i spun around for a while. i ventured out into the living room.
i tried shooting fire out of my hands, but it didn't work. i was undeterred. i called out for my sister [although i cannot remember whether or not she replied]. i decided to do what i had been intending to do .. i wanted to, ahem, "meet" my hero, morrissey, preferably in circa-1984 form. when i realised that i wasn't dressed for the occasion [i can't remember what i was wearing at the time, but obviously it was unimpressive], i tried to "will" myself into lingerie. i don't think it worked. bummer. i still decided to go ahead.
i assumed he would be on the top floor, for some reason. so i left the apartment, got into the lift, and pressed the highest number, which was in this case "9". [this building actually has 11 floors.]
i got to the top, and the whole floor appeared to be an office of some sort, with cubicles and everything. i walked over to a lady at a computer, and asked her if morrissey was here. she said yes, he was over at "block d". i looked at the big sign that said "block d", and it was a dock. yes, on the ninth floor of an apartment building. not sure how that works.
i walked over, and there were two small ships aproaching. both of them looked quite fancy so i assumed it could be either one that contained morrissey. then one of them toppled over as it neared the dock and promptly sunk. for some reason, i was relatively unfazed by this, even though there was clearly a one in two chance that morrissey had just died.
i think i gained a companion at this point - it was some sort of talking mammal. i ended up underwater with this mammal, because some sort of weight fell on us and pushed us deep down. i was convinced that i was drowning, until i remembered that i was dreaming, and that i could breathe underwater. so i quite calmly swam back up to the surface, presumably leaving my talking animal friend to die.
that's pretty much all i remember.
i've been using the DILD method, and obviously it's worked pretty well. i'm a little disappointed that my goal didn't work out, but if i can lucid dream once, i can do it again. and i can only improve ! thank you everyone, for your help. i couldn't have done it without you.
