welcome intracndnt!

you say "I read now that training is required for this..." well as you discovered, it really isn't required. For reasons I don't know, you have had a few lucid moments, realtively effortlessly.

However, to help this happen more often (or at all for some people) you can undertake as simple to difficult training habits as you like.

I would suggest for you, that you read about DILD, or Dream-Induced-Lucid-Dreams.

These are dreams inwhich you realise you are dreaming, whilst non-lucid, and then becoming lucid.

Basically this involves, being observant whilst awake. If at any point you think something is not-usual...you do a "Reality Check". This is a test that will tell you if you are awake or not. This practice of checking reality will develop into a Habit, which transfers to your dreams. This is not hard, just requires observation and memory.

Maybe have a look in these threads, or ask some more questions!
