      Another Wild Question (Experts Wanted)

My question is can you Wild directly, without any initial sleep. If im not mistaken it takes time for your body to enter REM sleep, which is when you dream. So to initially Wild you must stay focused for the hours it takes for your body to enter REM sleep? Basically its like laying down with your mind to think? Is that right? Or can you Wild right when you go to bed, and enter a dream instantly if done correctly.

You're right about the REM. It takes time to get to REM. Even so, the first REM cycles aren't as long, so your dreams wouldn't be as long. I'd recommend WBTBing before trying a WILD, so that you have a greater chance at succeeding, and if you do, you'll have a longer lucid dream.

Also, why is this in the Newbie Zone? You've been here almost a year and have 500 posts...

You don't need to sleep first in order to WILD, it just makes the process easier.

Actually, to be honest I almost WILDed in class the other day during Meditation, the only thing that stopped me was the fact that part of the Meditation involved some movement.

I think "Newbie Zone" is in reference to the Dreamviews Forum, not lucid dreaming itself.
