      Odd...All the dreams have stopped.

I've had a few lucid dreams (not totally controlled since I now only have the ability to realize I'm in some of them)

But now for 2 months straight, any dreams in general are not happening (or I guess I can't recall even having one started)

      Any ideas?

ive got a similiar problem , except i havent had a LD at all yet.

before i read up about LDs i used to remember at least 2 - 3 mins of a dream but lately i cant recall any of them. not even 5 seconds worth.

ive got a dream jounral with about 10 dreams on it. its like each dream is getting shorter and shorter and now i cant even recall them.

      any suggestions?

Hope you dont mind hijacking this thread, Vashalaka ? Its on the same topic ?

Just to add to that, Horrigan (he's my adoptee ) has been doing the 'lie in bed and think about the dreams when you wake up' trick too
      For a good 5 to 10 minutes...

      Anyone have more ideas?

      [EDIT]
PS: Perhaps this is more of a question, than a 'newbie' thread... should I move it?

Well, recall is based on a lot of things.

      just to name the few:

time of the year (temperature/moisture can make your sleep uncomofortable)

what kind of foods you eat (some supplements/vitamins cause me to enter very deep sleep with no recall at all)

your motivation to recall dreams (trying too much or too little can have adverse effects) :/

How long you sleep - by far one of the most important factors. (for example I often cant remember dreams from the first 6 hours. So if you sleep only 7 hours, you may have trouble)

Recently I've found myself in a similar situation. -> I forget a lot of details and sometimes only remember the feeling from a dream.

I dont really know what caused it, but after I applied some real effort, my recall improved :/

maybe you're trying to hard? or you're sleep is being interuppted by an alarm clock so that when you wake up and hit the alarm, you've already lost some recall

I dunno, but lately i've been having extreme problems in recall to. suddenly i couldnt remember anything. I think its back now though

u know , just after posted wat i did , the follow night i recalled 3 dreams

      1 lasted for 10 seconds
      1 lasted for 2 - 3 mins (i was lucid in it)
      1 lasted for 5 - 10 mins

and suprisinly i was very calm and collected in my lucid dream, wat happend was i was travelling on a train past my skool and all of a sudden i went past the same landmark twice with the same people , and i said to myself in the dream " geez this dreams weird " then i thought hmm yeh it is a dream. and then the train stopped i got out and looked around and then when i started to walk up to a girl near by i felt the dream fading. i shock my head , instead of spinning cause i forgot , kind of thought shaking head would haev the same result.

anyway yeh i was never excited all that much until i was walking up to the girl , party because i already had wat i whanted to do mapped out

seems to me the only way to boost your dream recall is to write them down and force yourself to do that first thing when you wake up.

I usually can recall my dreams during the entire day though I find they are much more clearer when I have just woken up, also I remember piece by piece. (say a dream had 4 parts, a,b,c and d. I sometimes think a and d were different dreams until I write d down and remember c, then b thus making the connection)

I don't want to sound like an expert on it, since I clearly am not. I'm at a loss when I read about people having trouble recalling dreams, since it has always just been normal for me. Kind of like those people who have lucid dreams all the time

And i bet your young too. You'll have trouble.. naturals never stay naturals forever. I was one, and i lost the ability for about 2 years. So, do not think you are immune to it, and remember this site, it helped me get back on my feet.
