      Just have a few questions

Hey everyone. This is my first post, im pretty new to lucid dreaming (started a little a few months ago but quit, then descided to try it again the other day) and i have a few questions on my dreaming.

First- My dreams seem pretty unstable in the enviorment. In other words.. im in a room that only has two walls placed to make a corner ( |_ ). Where the other corner should be there is a large field. I go ou into this field and some of the parts of the field seemed to have changed (i seemed to think it normal).
So im just wondering. Will this get better as i practice dream recall or somthing else?

Second- In my dreams i sorta feel like im there but at the same time im not. (i know thats a horrible description but i realy cant think of another way to describe it).

Third- What technique should i attempt after i get better dream recall?

Thx in advance for the help

to Dreamviews! I'd be happy to answer questions!

      1. I guess your dream environment just changes a lot. That's actually a good thing. If you pick up on it, like you just did, you could realize you're dreaming and go lucid!

      2. Do you mean that your dreams are more "cinematic"? That's kind of bad for lucidity, as you don't really control much.

      3. Whatever's right for you. I like the DILD method myself, you don't have to use much effort.

Your dreams will get more vivid as you get better. It sound like that dream was really unstable and strange things can happen like that.

You probably felt as if you were there and not because you were starting to wake up. You brain was getting input from both your dream and the real world so it got confused.

WBTB, it's not really a technique, more of an aid for DILDs. You can read about it in the tutorials section.

      Welcome, Cypher220,

Do you keep a dream journal? If you don't, it would be a good idea to start one. Even if you don't remember very many details, just write down what you reemmber (like you did above). I have found that keeping a dream journal (espeically one online here) is very motivational for me to remember dreams.

Also get into the habit of immediately trying to recall your dream the moment you wake up--before you even move. It makes a big difference in what you can remember. If I even get up to go to the bathroom, I will often start to forget my dreams--sometimes completely.

      Good luck!
