I'm kind of a lurker; a shy poster, but, I think I'll be posting here often.
(Kind of) Brief introduction:
I've learned how to LD from reaccuring nightmares during my early childhood (about 6 years old), and have been having lucid dreams on average once a month since then. Always loved them, but never gained a lot of interest in them until I noticed their occurance fading away last summer, to the point of one every two to three months. Since then, my interest in it has been rising, and now I'm at the point where I'm reading about the subject daily and having two LDs a week! Also, a little over a week ago I had my first OBE by unintentionally waking into SP right at the beginning of a LD.
My LDs usually happen spontaneously, and for some reason I come much closer to succeeding in WILD while listening to I-Doser's Lucid Dream (I know, faggy placebo shut, but it works for me...).
Anyways...
Most LD techniques have seemed to me like a pain to master because the amount of commitment needed, but I think I can actually stick to whatever it takes now. I've been trying WILD for a few weeks now, but very incorrectly -- when I'm going to sleep, not briefly after waking up. However, the goal here was moreso to get SP than LDs. I've also been working on awareness and memory techniques here and there, along with strengthening my dream recall (2 to 3 dreams/night), but overall I'd have to admit its just my interest and study that has brought upon the rise of frequency of LDs. Though I haven't said much about it, I have just as much interest for OBEs as LDs, as its completely new and definitely more... spiritual.
So, I have 3 questions:
1: Which method has proven most effective for you to get LDs?
2: Whats the easiest way to enter SP/have an OBE?
3: What training methods, if not all, should I focus on?
Before I forget, I must mention I can't get myself to stay sleepy while trying WILD after 5-6 hours of sleep. Doesn't stop me from trying though.
