      I'm new here, whats up?

      Hey everyone?

so i've stumbled upon this site cause of lucid dreaming the topic brought me here.

For ages i've tried to lucid dream and to my knowledge i've never had a lucid dream, not even once

also, i believe that smoking cannabis effects my dream cycle so maybe that might have some negative effect on lucid dreaming, anyways i plan to not smoke at night and follow some instructions here maybe and TRY again to get a ld, which i doubt i will achieve

they sound so fun and ive tried so hard and i can never have 1

I've also got a crazy question

Have you ever had a dream where you werent you? you were someone else?

like a girl? or an animal? or an object?

I had this dream years ago which i never wrote down

and to this day i still remmeber it mostly

I was an asian girl or a native american girl in the dream and i got into this guys old car in the desert, and we drove up to this mountain cliff, at sunset

from there i dont remember, its been years

but it was such a strange dream, me being a guy, dreamt i was a woman, weird

Hi Guerilla, welcome to the forum.

Try the tutorials section to find some reliable methods to lucid dream. And hopefully they'll bring you some success.

Cannabis can have an effect on your dream cycle. Some say its beneficial, but who knows?

I dont think its very beneficial, the first half of my night sleeping is w/o dreaming when i goto bed with cannabis, then around 4am ish i start dreaming..

i'll just have to smoke earlier then 9pm or something

what about my question from earlier, have any of you dreamt you werent yourself, but someone else, but you still felt like yourself?

I have not personally had that happen to me, but i'd imagine its a strange feeling. Those are the sort of things that make dreams worthwhile, strange experiences that we sometimes try to extend and find meaning in.

      There cool though.

It was quite weird because As a man i have no clue what its like to be a woman, and that dream made me FEEL what it was like almost to be.

I felt really at peace in the dream, i felt protected by the guy in the convertible, I don't remember any talking or any other activity other then driving up a road to a mountain at sunset.

That is the beauty of dreams, it can really boost emotions and make things seem more important and real. Its like when you watch a cool film and you think, i wish i was that guy. And when something similar happens in the dream you are just overwhelmed with emotion and in a sense happiness. I have had far too little of these sort of dreams lately, i used to have loads in which my emotions were high.

I love dreams and i will always think of them as a good part of growing up and learning more about my mind and more. The beauty that lies within us i think can be much greater than that that lies outside at times. Of course we can't and shouldn't block out reality, but i think that lucid dreaming should be something people know about, it can really change your life if you read into it enough and actually have success.

But guerilla, don't give up on lucid dreaming, things can seem slow at first, but results do come and i think that the results are what drive people on, i was unlucky because of life situations, but i am getting back on track now. Just keep at it, get involved because its such an amazing learning opportunity.

Hey there guerilla and to the forum!

There has been some controversy as to whether smoking cannabis effects lucid dreaming. But usually it slows down your thinking processes and makes you more relaxed, its hard to remember things also when your high. So that will likely be your problem.

If you want to have some good success with this i suggest not smoking at all, drop the whole thing because not smoking for a night may do nothing. I am just making a guess, but don't assume it will work, experiment and see what you can come up with.

Check the Tutorials section for some guides on how to attain lucidity, you might find something of use there.

Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

EDIT - Some dreams can be strange, they usually have some meaning on a conscious level, but some dreams will carry more emotion than others. I have had dreams which still stand out to this day, but there is really nothing important about them to be honest.
