Talking My first LD- a very vivid one !!

      Good day people,

I have been on this site for about 1.5 weeks now, and immediately got really interested in the whole LD concept. So I thought why not.

I have been keeping a dream journal for about 2 weeks now, and decided to first advance in that and do a lot of reality checks during the day.
However yesterday, was different than other days.

It started off being a nightmare; not LD'ing at that point. I was in a big garden, full of big trees and long grass. The garden was surrounded by walls, made of old stones which gave the whole area a genuinely scary look.
At the end of the garden there was a big solid door, with a big lock on it. I walked towards it and of course I was interested in what I would find behind that door. So I walk over there and open the door; there is nothing but another garden and on the end another house.
Nothing interesting I thought- until the door of the house opened and a boy about 10 years old walks out of it, with a dead kind of look in his eyes. I realize that this boy is not normal and just stare as he comes walking, slowly, towards the door. I begin to panic and close the door, running through the garden to go back into "my" house. The garden however keeps getting longer and longer and i still didn't reach the house. Behind me I hear the door opening, and when I look back; the boy had come in.
His whole image is still clear to me; the kid looked very scary. I at some point reached the house and I go in, lock the door and run upstairs. Because I locked the door I think the boy wouldn't get in, but he did. I hear the door bursting open, and know that I'm sort of trapped. I climb out of the window, and stand on a thin rail there, holding myself so that when the boy comes upstairs he doesnt see me. I'm 3 floors high at this point. Ofcourse when I think of him maybe finding me, I see his hands at the window followed by his head, looking me blank into the eye.
He starts to climb out of the window and I know there's nothing I can do. I begin to think: how can this be happening, this can NOT be real, this stuff only happens in movies and dreams. And without a reality check, I find myself knowing i'm dreaming, and take the gamble of letting go and fly into the sky behind me.
I indeed fly away in the sky, but the boy follows me. At this point I'm ecstatic, I know I'm dreaming, and realise it's my first LD, a DILD I think it is. I think: the boy has to fall down; he shouldn't follow me no longer, and there he goes, zooming towards the road bellow us.
The rest of my memory is a bit blurry, I cannot remember this particular part, but I end up on some market place, "reunited" with my mother who happens to be there. I tell here I'm LD'ing, and she thinks I'm crazy. I then told here; i can show you it is for real, i'll summon some creatures there and then you'll know.
I envision some of the creatures that came into my mind quickest from the last movie I saw- The Descent, but they dont appear on the spot I imagined them. They do however come, from behind a corner, running towards us. My mom starts to freak out and I place some kind of force shield around us both which they cannot pass and they stop against it, not able to get through. I think it's enough and let the ones that touch the shield burn away and the remaining ones vanish through the ground.

I woke up after this part, frantic, and began to scramble away in my dream journal, and filled two pages with this one dream. It was my first LD ever as far as I can recall, and I never thought I would actually have one. Especially I didn't know it would be this vivid, and that I could recall it this well.
I would like to hear some feedback on it, that would be really cool !

      Happy dreaming all of you,

      Feist~

      Amazing !

      It's completely AMAZING !

      I forgot to tell one thing however;
When I tried to change the setting from night to day, it didnt work; I couldnt get it to become day. Is there anything I can do about that maybe..?

How great a first LD is that!

It started out as a really scary nightmare.. you realized you were dreaming and took control, you flew, you summoned creatures and you put up a force field!! Pretty impressive for a first LD!

Adding light is very difficult. The brain has a hard time processing it. The best thing to do is find some source of light that's already there. Focus in on something that's lit up by it and the rest of the dream should follow suite and lighten up.

      Thanks!

Wow, thanks for your replies !

You guys do know how to make someone feel welcome here
I also thought it was a VERY cool lucid dream, and I think that because it was this good for the first time, my expectations might get too high; have to watch out there !
All the stuff was amazing to do, and I didnt have too much reluctance because I read out here that it was possible which gave me confidence. Let's hope there are more to come, and that they dont all have to start being nightmares .
      Happy dreaming !
