LD's are great fun because the only boundry is your imagination!
you can practise things like talking infront of big audience's or singing infront of crowds and not feel nervous!
      Nothing is perfect.

dreamhope, I have had an astral healing experience.

Below is my journal report from back in May of 1999.

I had a second surgery on my abdomen in Feb. 1999. All seemed to be healing well (i.e., no pain) until a little over a week ago when I started experiencing *extreme* tenderness beneath my surgical scar.. almost as if I had been cut inside... or had pulled or torn the internal stitches beneath the scar.

I decided that I would try to do a "healing" on myself. I had a semi-lucid dream Sat. and, though I wasn't very lucid, I placed my hands on my astral abdomen and "thought" heal. The next morning I felt my abdomen and was not surprised to find it still very tender.

Since I REFUSE to have another surgery.. I decided to try again. Sun. morning I was sleeping fitfully when I realized that a geometric pattern had formed before my eyes. I concentrated on one of the squares and found myself being drawn into it. I realized that I was dreaming. I closed my astral eyes and when I opened them, I separated from my body and I crawled out of my bed.

I thought "I need to heal myself" and I immediately found myself in an operating room. *There were about 5 surgeons surrounding an operating table. *When I went to the table, the surgeons vanished and I saw that "I" was laying naked on the table.

I climbed on the table and looked at myself. My eyes were open and I saw fear (which surprised me) and I felt my astral self laughing with joy (which also surprised me). I placed both my astral hands on the abdomen of the me laying on the table. I then sent two lightning bolts of healing energy into my abdomen while saying the word "HEAL" (it reminded me of those paddles that they use to resuscitate people whose hearts have stopped). I "hit" myself twice and the me on the table cried out in pain (or shock) and the experience ended.

When I "woke up", I decided to just record the experience and go back to sleep (this was around 2:15 am).

I woke up to start the day around 10 am. I went into the bathroom and tenderly touched my abdomen... there was no pain.. I pressed harder and felt only a slight twinge! I was afraid to believe it.. so I decided to give it 24 hours. Well 24 hours passed and the slight twinge of pain that I felt when I pressed my abdomen was even less!

This experience was almost 9 years ago and the pain in my abdomen has never returned.

All I can say is that, whether you believe or not, there are things greater than ourselves and the mind has power that we have yet to tap into.

LD's are always fun: flying alone makes it worthwhile.

LD's can help people get rid of nightmares or other recurring dreams.

dreamhope, you should read LaBerge's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming"; you would find everything you need in there.
