How to keep from going back to bed?

I have become very knowledgeable about lucid dreaming. I have read huge volumes of material, and I am able to induce SP before I got to bed. However, because I do SP without WBTB I just go to bed, and I get stuck there un-able to move staring at the wall for about an hour until I shake it off.

I know I should do a WBTB but I have a really bad habit of turning off the alarm. I have tried putting it under my bed, across the room, up high where I can't reach it. No matter what I will turn off my alarm, pissed off at myself and I will go back to bed, thinking to myself in a fog that "I can never do it, why should I bother lucid dreaming isn't even possible". I know that is not true but my body just tries at all cost to make me go to bed.

I have also tried 3 hours to 6 hours of sleep going up a half hour every night.

I have been trying for about 3 weeks now.

      Please post your suggestions.

Hrm, well I don't know what to suggest really. You need self control and motivation to get up, perhaps if you used an alarm as well as a phone? Try and have a few alarms going off at the same time.

You say you get out of bed to turn your alarm off but then simply don't even try because frankly you'd rather go back to sleep. Sadly no one can motivate you to try other than yourself.

Perhaps you are afraid of not getting enough sleep.. try doing WBTB on the weekend when you know that you can sleep in for as long as you want to.

But again.. there is no magic solution for you here if your willpower is weak.
