      going to try tonight

i remember one dream that got me really interested in figuring out how to control my dreams

i was about 7-8 at the time, and i went downstairs (my house was normal but there was a clock that had a bird come out of it, and there wasn't one there in reality) and i go into the office at the time, about 20 yards away, but it felt like it took 2 hours to get there.
i was kinda worried, i heard weird noises so i looked inside and saw this half spider half mom creature eating my mom. naturally i went to yell, and guess what. no noise came out. i've been THOROUGHLY trying to figure out what the HELL happened that night but everytime i wake up its "...ugh..school." instead of "what was my dream?"

so tonight, after reading the site, and some forum topics, i'll be (with any luck) having a lucid dream.
i put the pen and pad next to the bed with nothing else there. and i'm hoping i fly tonight

how many of you experienced a lucid dream directly after reading the site without even having dream recall? just thinking about it allll day long waiting to go to bed, and you get lucky in a sense?

welcome to Dreamviews and goodluck for tonight! Are you trying any techniques tonight or just trying to write down your dreams?

On your last point: I told a friend about LDing, who told a friend...who had a Lucid Dream that night without trying. Anything is possible!

      Quality LD's: 16

just trying to convince myself i can do it for now, without any specific technique, though i do understand them

alright well i'm off to bed, i set the alarm on my phone to 6:15, and i can't stop thinking about being able to control my damn dreams!
ah so badly i want to fly around without any cares, and bring more purpose to going to sleep before 1am!

I think it is possible, if you bellieve it enough, but don't think the chances are that high.
But still, i hop it works out. Good luck.

heh... i too just had a week off, and spent it sleeping 'till afternoon. it's hard to remember dreams, when you suddenly have to get up early again.

      Hi, welcome to Dream Views.

Sorry you didn't get lucid last night. (or maybe you did and just don't remember ) In either case, sorry you didn't recall a lucid dream last night.

I'd suggest you try work out a decent sleep schedule and stick to it. I'm currently trying to do that myself so I can get some half decent dream recall back. Also you should try to get at least 5+ hours of sleep if you're planning on lucid dreaming tonight.

Best of luck getting lucid tonight.

i'm going to try to get to bed much earlier, and like you said get somewhat of a sleep schedule going on.
