Found this site whilsy procrastinating from an essay, and felt I had to join.

I'd had a few lucid dreams in the past, and generally remember dreams quite well, but I started uni last year, and had trouble getting up in time for morning lectures.
I set two alarms, a quieter one at 7 and a nasty one an hour or so later. The quiet one generally wakes me from a dream (sometimes lucid, usually not), and I go back to sleep and occassionally (about once a fortnight at least, with the memory of the previous dream fresh) slip into a lucid dream. Then the nastier alarm goes off later and I get out of bed (it's on the other side of the room) to turn it off then lie in bed again and sometimes, once a month or so, go into what must be a WILD (I've not read much about them yet). Still partly awake, aware of still being in bed, I "get up" and try to get ready for Uni, until I realise I can't walk and half to try to fly, which is a disconcerting feeling and disappointing when I realise it isn't real...

Anyhoo, it seems to be (for me, at least) an effective method of inducing lucid dreams, even if it does mean I end up sleeping in from them...
