Hello everyone, I'm Ren.
I was just lying in bed by my computer when I had a curious thought about dreaming and realized it would be interesting to post in some forums. I've been interested in lucid dreaming, read a little bit about it before and tried keeping a dream log but my writing sucks and takes forever, and I never got it to work. I thought the internet might be helpful this time around, so I googled dream forums and ended up here =)

Anyways my thought was that I had noticed the first 5-10 seconds of waking up nothing seems to make sense, and I think particularly stupid thoughts during that time. I'm just curious about what thats called and why it happens. It feels like being on certain drugs

Also while I'm here I think I'll start looking over some threads on lucid dreaming. Anyone have some gems to share?

Welcome!

You should keep a dream journal! It is really important to aid recall! If you are worried about your writing or it taking to long, you can always use a word processor, or even the dream journal section here at dreamviews!

As for reading about lucid dreaming, the tutorials section as loads to read on, including dream recall, which will explain more about how important a dream journal is.
