Alarm Clock Troubles - I Need Advice!

Okay, I used to remember atleast 3-5 dreams a night. After all that, I thought why not try lucid dreaming? I attempted many times and failed. After that, I just decided to practice remembering dreams again. One day, I wake up and just go back to sleep because it was about 9. In that dream, I had my first lucid! It wasn't very good but I was proud.

      -Now to the problem-

Well, after awhile, my alarm clock wouldn't wake me up anymore. I tried using it every night and it wouldn't wake me up AT ALL! I made the volume as loud as it could go and it was right beside me on my bed stand and still nothing. I asked my mom for a new alarm clock and she let me use hers for awhile. That night, it actually woke me up. I was starting to feel like this would work out and I could get back to dreaming. Apparently, I was wrong. That night I set my new alarm clock, like usual, and the next thing I know my brother is waking me up saying you need to get ready for school. I tried using this alarm clock for about a week and then my dad let me use his old one. The exact same thing happened to me. It woke me up one night but not for the rest. I tried setting all 3 of them once and nothing will work anymore!!! It's been about 2 months since I've ever remembered a dream and my parents are getting tired of waking up from my alarm clocks. They said they would take them back and just wake me up at 6 when I need to get ready for school. I'm so desperate right now... I would buy a new alarm clock but I'm afraid that the same thing will happen. Will anyone give me some advice please??

Try putting one of them under your pillow. I use a cell phone set to vibrate, and it sounds really loud under the pillow. So an alarm clock set to full volume under the pillow should be loud enough to wake you up.

You can also try autosuggestion - just repeating to yourself that you'll wake up after a certain amount of time when you go to sleep.

I am currently having all kinds of alarm clock woes. Every clock I've ever seen is deficient in one way or another. Here's my list of gripes:

      1. Alarm clocks that go off, and then stop after some predetermined time. An alarm clock, as I've mentioned elsewhere, should continue to sound until it's turned off or smashed against a wall.

      2. Snooze alarms that stop working after some predetermined number of uses. A snooze alarm should allow me to keep smacking it forever if I want.

      3. Alarm clocks that have too many accessible buttons. Alarm clocks should be foolproof, you shouldn't be able to accidentally change a setting while fumbling around half-asleep looking for the snooze button.

      4. Alarm clocks that aren't loud enough. Think about how a garbage-truck sounds when it's backing up. That's how loud an alarm clock should be.

      5. Alarm clocks with retarded snooze intervals. I want full control of the snooze interval, anywhere from 1 minute to 1 hour.

So, the perfect alarm clock is:

      1. Piercingly loud or progressive (getting louder with time) (these exist)
      2. Foolproof when being fumbled with. (these exist)
      3. Have user-definable snooze interval. (these exist)
      4. Let you hit the snooze button forever if you want. (these exist).
      5. Keep beeping without stopping. (these exist).

The trouble is, I've never found an alarm with all these qualities at once. The closest I've found is one that is moderately loud, foolproof, only has a 4 minute snooze interval, lets you hit the snooze as often as you want, but if the alarm goes off for a minute without being hit, it stops and the snooze is also disabled.. so alas, I still get burned.

All alarm clocks I've ever seen are defective in one or more critical aspects.

      Great!

Now what are you going to do with the other three alarm clocks?

      Simple solution.

Drink tons of water before bed. Not only do you get the benefits of hydration, you get a natural wakeup call. Also, going to the bathroom will probably wake you up enough to try a WBTB.

I guess you can swich clock with you father or just keep having it under the pillow.
I think the reason for getting up with another alarm is that you ain't used to it.
That's the reason why i change alarm signal t my phone constantly.

I tried all of them at the same time, but it's hard because my mom's and dad's aren't digital.
