Hi,
Ive been trying this lucid dreaming for about 3-4 months now and wanted to share some tips I've learned:
1) sleeping in really late is the best way to learn. Ive had 10 lucid dreams when sleeping till 11am and 3 or so when sleeping in till 9:30 or so. I find I'm able to practice Wilding easier too, and have even successfully did the twin bodies technique, and hynogogic imagery technique.
2)WBTB is the best. I get up and get the kids ready and take them to school, and go back to bed when possible(about once or twice a week). The longer I sleep - the more lucids I'll have.
3)using a jet pack or hang glider wings will get you higher when flying. Sometimes its hard to get super high when flying so I found this really does the trick. Try and relax and enjoy the sites but dont get to excited. Just imagine you have a jet pack and use your thumb control button to fire it up.
4) when you start to wake up fast from a dream you just became lucid in - spin like crazy. Even if you lose your visuals walk around with no visuals for a while and they will come back. It's like walking around in the dark. I usually hold up my hands and make a little circle and what I see through the circle is the last of the dream. Dont let it go. Then you can eventually remove your hands/tunnel vision and the dream WILL come back.
5) why be afraid of the sleep paralysis. I think it feels good, and you know your on your way when you feel it. It feels like your body is numb and sometimes I've even felt my legs floating up and down, like waves are hitting them gently.
6) For WILD. - Put your self in a corner of your brain and stand there like and observer. In this corner your wide awake - but dont touch anything, just watch. Once you learn where this corner is you can go back there anytime. This also works well if you can get to sleep. Just find your corner - which may even feel like its next to your body, no in it.
7) when I'm really tired I wont have any lucid dreams. If you exercise then the harder you exercise, then the less amount of lucids you will have.
8) Ive heard alot of people say Wilding is tough. I think it hasnt been tough. Its just like learning anything. Dont think its hard or this may prevent you from doing it. Again - sleeping in late is a great way to practice all the different wilding techniques.

Also I got a question. - How long before the reality checks become a regular part of your dreams. They seem to be a part of your dreams when there something new that your doing. Like anything new you do shows up in your dreams, but then go away.
Maybe thats why beginners luck works so well - anything new you do shows up in your dreams right away...

Maybe doing something new/different from week to week is the way to go?

Thanks,
John
