      Im a newbie, but...

So, I found this site merely by chance.
I asked a simple question in my mind and sought after google to help me answer it.
Now, I have never been to a site like this or read anything on dream control.
      I just do it.
For some reason, I just started controlling my dreams. And thinking in them. As myself. Its so. Confusing. For awhile I was so distant - I confused reality with my dreams, because they so closly resemble each other.
Ive always known I was different. This is just another thing that I feel seperates me from all the other teens at my school. Great.
So really. All Im asking for is help. Im clueless. Where do I start with lucid dreaming?
Moreover, is there anyone else that just. Did it with no effort or knowledge?

Some people are naturals and therefore do not have to try.
You should read the articles on the main page first.

A good book on the subject is "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LaBerge. Although that is not nessacary, it is helpful.

And finally, to get lucidity read the "Attaining Lucidity Forum". I hope this helped!

I have read most of the main page, but i dont really have patience to finish it right now.
One more thing, could someone give like, a brief summary of all the words and abbreviations used in the forums? Like WILD etc. Ive already figured out LD to be lucid dreaming, but there are others that im completely clueless on.

      Welcome to dream views speakslow
as exhalent said, there are people who are natural when it comes to lucid dreaming so for you it's a great first step in lucid dreaming.
here in dream views you will find great tutorials about lucid induction techniques, controling dreams and stabelizing them so for first step i would recommend for you to read these tutorials and of course the section about attaining lucidity.
the significant thing that you need to develop is dream recall. start writing a dream journal, it will signifacly improve your dream recall.
by the way, i'm not a natural lucid dreamer but when i first started, i wrote a dream journal and recorded 1-2 dreams per night and after about 2 weeks i started to record sometime more than 3 dreams per night.

      Acronym List

And if you're having trouble distinguishing between reality and dreams, do reality checks (RCs) such as pinching your nose and trying to breathe. If you can, you're dreaming. Other RCs include looking at a digital clock, looking away, and looking back. If the numbers have changed you're dreaming - your subconcious doesn't deal with numbers very well.

Edit: Forgot to change "Acronym List" to a link D'oh!

      LD Tasks:
      [ ] Have a bloody LD
[ ] Play lead guitar and/or vocals in a rock concert with TONS of people (yeah I've been playing a lot of Rock Band lately... lol)
[ ] Beat the tar out of select people...

Welcome speakslow! I was a natural lucid dreamer too. I wanted to know more so I googled and found this site. I've learned so much from reading on here starting with the homepage and also the tutorials and then on the forum. You'll learn a lot of techniques that enhance your lucidity

I'm one of those naturals they're talking about. I had lucid dreams for years before I even knew to call them "lucid dreams."

Although I think that lucid dreaming makes me less likely to confuse dreams with reality, so I'm not sure that I know what you mean . . .
