      Brand New

      Hello there.

I just joined the forum and I am looking forward to share my progress should I decide to pursue lucid dreaming.

I dream a lot and have been keeping dream journals for a long time. Very much in the habit of dreaming, waking up and write it down, go back to bed and dream again. Can’t wait to get to bed at night. Gave up alcohol 100% just so that I can have my dreams every night. Almost 90% of my dreams are very accurate prophetic dreams. Not huge things about the end of the world, sport events or future world affairs........yet?

It’s always things about my life, people I am going to meet, things that are going to happen to me and so on. Sometimes it’s about an event a few days or even months in the future, but it happens.

I really enjoy this little gift, but always wanted to try lucid dreaming. Now what I am wondering is that if I start to practice Lucid Dreaming, and start to look for signs that I am dreaming, will I get so much in the habit of doing that, that I might loose my prophetic dreams. So what I am asking is this: can I sometime just dream and enjoy it, or will I become Lucid every time I dream once I get the hang of it?

English is not my first language, so i hope I made my question clear. By the way, it’s Afrikaans and I am from South Africa.

      Looking forward to an answer.

      Greetings

      welcome to dreamviews callie

If you need extra help just ask us or check out the tutorial section.

Well, to make one thing clear everyone dreams about the same every night. For your question, no, you will probably get to enjoy dreams more because your trying to remember more. I don't think anyone can get that good.

I hope to see you around here and good luck

      ^Probably

Callie, your post is very easy to understand!

As to your question, yes you will be able to just dream and enjoy it. I believe it's extremely rare that once someone learns how to lucid dream that they lucid dream every night (whether they want to or not).

You might also want to post any questions about your "prophetic dreams" in the "Beyond Dreaming" forum.
