      Started Dream Journal last night.

So, I finally started my dream journal last night (Monday) @ 7:40 PM when I got into bed, right when I turned on Q101, Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden came on, one of my favorite songs TRIPPPYYYYYYYYY. Anyway I attempted a DILD by using the counting method. After a minute or two, I started to feel weird vibrations and I felt like suddenly I lost feeling in my body and my mind suddenly expanded 10 times its size. Very weird feeling, as after I counted to 100, it got a lot stronger and than I fell into a dream. I think I was WILDing right then, because of REM sleep lost from last night sleep, that I was making up. Can anyone explain the feeling I experienced before being actually asleep?

Anyway, I remember that I dreamed something and I do remember that I was atleast lucid, but bad recall = I had and lost what the lucid dream was about already. If it comes back to me, I will write it down.

Anyway, I woke up at 12:40 AM and its Tuesday now. I think I'm going to go eat a banana and drink some milk and go attempt a WILD. Any suggestions would be great!

You can't WILD right off the bat because you don't dream when you first go to sleep. You're probably not in REM at 12:40 either. Try around 3 instead.

It's the stupid thing about WILD, you have to mess around and worry about waking up at certain times, or just a certain time.

Any suggestions for what happened with the weird vibrations I felt? Also, after 2 minutes of having my eyes closed, I felt like my body went numb and my mind expanded like 10 fold.

It does sound like you pulled off a WILD. But, as Ninja said, you don't get into REM sleep right away at night. Did you take any naps during the day?

Vibrations like that often occur when your body is going into sleep paralysis. Same with the numbness. Still, it's possible to get these sensations if you are sleep deprived, and finally go to sleep. I'm speaking from experience here.

I hope this sheds some light.

Well this was at 7:40 PM, and I usually go to bed at 12-1 AM, so that pretty much was a nap for me.

Does that add up to a WILD then? I don't recall very well what I dreamed, so damn my bad memory, but I do remember my other DILD and wrote it down in my dream journal.

Congratulations Aj! Was the numbness anything like pins and needles or was it the absence of any kind of feeling? Just curious to know because Wilds don't work too well with me

It was more like the absence of feeling my body.
