      Hands physically numb?

Last night I had a DILD...I was in my laundry room and I realized the light didn't work so I thought to myself, hey I must be dreaming, and the instant that thought hit me my hands and legs instantly went numb, not like numb as in not being able to feel, numb as in having your hands fall asleep, the intense prickly feeling. It instantly went away when I woke. It was a very unpleasant feeling, anyone know what it was or how to prevent it?

Hi Wiltors, welcome to the forum.
I think that it could have been the physical sensation of the dream ending/you waking up otherwise known as Hypnopompia, I think. I think you can prevent it in the same way as you would prevent premature awakenings or very short lucidity: try not to get too excited, interact with the dream environment, and most importantly keep trying.

Thank you. I tried again and I ended up in SP and it went nowhere. I will, however, keep trying.
