      New and some observations

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, and to LD. I started yesterday my training, and today i have some notes about my dreams. I remember 5 of them from tonight. But I think 2 dreams were the same, I just forgot what happened to connect both. Let me continue:

In my first 2 dreams, I realised I was dreaming. And in that moment, I woke up.

In my 3rd dream, I knew I was dreaming, like i commented sometime in the dream, but I had no control over ir, neither woke up because I knew that.

In my 5th dream, despite of all the bizarre happenings, I didn't know I was dreaming.

I wasn't expecting to remember much of my dreams, and neither to realise I was dreaming in the middle of it, and wake up.

I'm keeping everything in a dream journal, and today I'll write down more dreams that I remember.

Am I doing it right? Anything I need to improve on? Any technique so I won't wake up when I realise I'm dreaming?

EDIT: A dream sign i noticed that I had in 2 of my dreams today were that sometimes when I enter a door, I'm not where I'm supposed to be. Lets say, if I enter the door to the bathroom at my house, i realise it doesn't lead to the bathroom, but for my cousin's living room. They don't work twice, if I happen to get to my cousin's living room, I won't return to my house crossing that door again.

back from the off-topic.. could anyone tell me if I'm doing good or not? Is this normal for the first day? Is my dream recalling good, or it was just today because i was clearly motivated?

You've done very well so far! I didn't have my first LD until 18 days after I came here. I've only had one other, but that one was mostly me fighting for control. It sounds like you're on the right track, though. When you realize you're dreaming, relax. Focus on certain objects in your dream and try to make them clear. Take deep breaths. You could also try spinning or rubbing your hands together or on a rough surface. I heard that that helps retain lucidity.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I want to see how it goes tonight. I don't think I can trust in the results of my first day. I hope everything goes well.

      Yep - what amethyst said.
Run your hands down walls look at your hands and run then down the walls again. Feel the texture, smell the smells, etc etc..

And try some verbal commands - just shout out 'CLARITY' or 'CONTROL' or something like that.
It has a massive effect for my LDs (growing crackling green stabilising forcefields)
