Grandius here. Why is my user name Grandius? Well, it's what I've decided to use as a tag for my subconscious. I've actually been lurking here for the past three days, after having come across the website via Google. I'm inclined to explore the art of Lucid Dreaming since my whole belief system is basically non-existent; in other words, I'm not bound by the serious, crippling limitations placed on most people by normal life. Why does something have to be physical to constitute being real? I never really understood the art of science, which to me contradicts itself. You want to explore life and find out how everything works? That's great. You just went off and seriously limited what you can explore, thereby restricting the limits of your knowledge? Smart move, science!
I do respect science, I'm just disappointed in the limitations it has placed upon our world. With no boundaries that define what can be real or not, I'm also inclined to explore other areas of this world. Now, I'm not an experienced philosopher by any means, however I would like to access the remote areas of human existence, in order to find what exactly this whole "ordeal" is about.
Aside from Lucid Dreaming, I'm also heavily interested in Astral Projection. So far, I've had no success in actually projecting myself to the Astral realm, however I haven't exactly put much effort into it. I am hoping that once I achieve the ability to Lucid Dream (which I will, undoubtedly), I'll also have something to propel me to actually Astral Project.
If you couldn't tell from the above paragraph, I think it is possible that the world of dreams and the Astral is connected in some way. I have also taken an interest in the theory of Vortices, as it provides a potential link between the scientific community and the spiritual community. After all, we're all of the same species, there's no reason why we must constantly be at odds with each other.
I intend to make excellent usage of the material offered here, and eventually aid others too. For now however, I'll take my leave. I never intended to write an introductory topic longer than a paragraph, I seem to have become carried away.
So, hello Dreamviews.
