Thread: First post and into

Hey! My name's Charlie,I'm 19 and am from Pittsburgh and I just recently found out about lucid dreams. The concept interested me greatly since I've always been pretty aware of my dreams. I have decent dream recall and I've been improving that by keeping a dream journal the past week or so (the difference is startling now that I'm recording them). I look at this as a fun task that's within my grasp since I do realize I'm dreaming pretty often. Though like most people the moment I realize this I wake up.

But seems like a nice community here, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Alright man. I'm new here too, although I'm not very new to lucid dreaming. It sounds like your off to a good start. My first couple dreams that I became lucid in were nightmares, I awoke immediately. Never new at the time there was such a thing as lucid dreaming.

Yeah, I'm frequently aware that I'm dreaming, especially in nightmares. But I've never been lucid since the knowledge that I'm dreaming is enough to jolt me awake.

Its just so much of a relief to know your not going to die you wake up, LOL.
I know how you feel. Now, almost everytime I have a nightmare, I can become lucid and stay that way for a little while.
