      Ear pressure

Hi. I registered here a couple of years ago but never actually got to posting.

I've always had sleep paralysis, sometimes a few times a night, had plenty of lucid dreams (or HD dreams as I call 'em) and have recently experienced ear ringing/ear pressure up to a point I thought my head was going to explode.

Today I also noticed my whole body shakes when feeling this ear pressure.

When this happens I know I'm sleeping but yet am fully awake somehow. I fell asleep today watching Wimbledon, tv was on but it was muted. However I swear even though I was sleeping and my eyes were closed I could somehow see what was happening on screen.

Sometimes I'll fall asleep and have a feeling like my arm is out of my body. I'll start moving things around (like books and tv remote, glasses) and feel them but when I wake up they'll be untouched.

Anyone know what's going on? Is this dangerous?

      Thanks

Yea i get a large ringing in my ears. It used to be very painful and i'd get it a lot. Howvere now, aafter learning about lucid dreams and stuff, i can move from sleep paralysis into a lucid dream easily.

Also the thing about the TV - Perhaps you DID actually see the screen. As some of my lucid dreams end, i am able to open my eyes and see the real world and the dream world at the same time. Crazy stuff.

I dont see what you mean by 'is it dangerous'. Do you mean the ear pressure part or the moving stuff around in your dreams part? As long as you arent sleepwalking then nothing is dangerous.

It sounds like you are having normal sleep paralysis and normal hypnagogic hallucinations, both of which are parts of the sleep process. What you've described is really normal and nothing to worry about.

A great thing is that you can use this to get lucid dreams, and to even choose, to an extent, were you will be and what you'll be doing in the dream.
