      I'm New

Hello, I just happened to stumble onto Dream View tonight whilst I was googling for information on dreams. I read the main guides on the site and was completely blown away by the concept of lucid dreams. I've always been interested in dreams and the thought of being able to control them is amazing and something I look forward too.

I've read the guides on the site and I've been lurking other posts in this forum for the past few hours. I had no idea that you could dream 4 times in one night and recall more than one. At the most I've been able to recall is 2 and the first dream was fuzzy at best. I plan on starting a DJ in the Dream Journal forum tomorrow morning if I can recall a dream tonight. I'm very excited about learning more about my dreams and in time achieving LDs. I do have one question. I read this on the Dream Recall section of the site.

Does this mean I should attempt to wake myself up during multiple REM periods or just one? I usually go to sleep anytime between 2:30 am and 4:00am so its hard to set my alarm. Anyways hopefully this post hasn't turned out to be too much of a rambling. I look forward to a future of LDs and sharing my dream experiences with this site.

You wake up after every REM cycle. Most of the time you just fall back to sleep and forget about it. Try and get up and write down your dreams then.

Welcome to the forums It is possible to have a multiple LD's every night. Depending on the individual, it can take a few months to several years to get down. The more you practice the better it gets

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes. I did have two dreams last night and wrote them down. I'll be starting a DJ thread later tonight when I have time to type them up. At first I thought I didn't need to do reality checks because I clearly could tell what is real and what is not but after last nights dream even though nothing made any sense I followed it and didn't think twice about a movie theater being in a Walmart. I'm going to start doing reality checks as often as possible and using that to attain LDs.
