I started a dream journal when i woke up this morning, and came across this website today...enjoying it so far. In the forum spirit I thought I'd share an interesting tidbit from a dream last night: |

How am I not myself?

I've never had a full-on lucid dream, so could someone please tell me if that is how they usually are? Do you do things without thinking about them normally? |
|
There are different kinds of lucid dreams -- ones in which you are really clear headed, as if you were awake, and ones in which you are still somewhat caught up in the illogical world of the dream. Most lucid dreams are the somewhat illogical kind. In these it is usually easy to have a lot of control and cool dream powers because you are so caught up in the dream and all that that you don't ever stop to question your ability to do them. |

What you experienced is a mild form of lucidity/conciousness. You were unsure if you really could do that because you were a little concious of it. Once you are concious it breaks the illusion and you loose control because reality based ideas and concepts start to trickle in.....you can't do that in reality... |
