New Member with an Acronym Question!

      Hey there everyone.

I'm new to the forum. I've recently begun making attempts at lucid dreaming again. I've been practicing dream recall and recording my dreams for the past eight years but my last lucid dream was five years ago. It's pretty shocking for me to realize how long it's been! But I'm determined to attain lucidity again.

Anyway, I also have a question about an acronym that was not listed in the acronym guide. What exactly is a WBTB?

Thanks to anyone who can help me out and apologies if this is explained elsewhere.

WBTB is the Wake-Back-To-Bed method and is usually paired with WILDing.

      to DV.

Ahhh okay. Is that basically like waking, going about for an hour or two, and going back to bed and performing MILD? Or is it something different entirely?

Exactly. Usually, you'd have to experiment with what length of time is right for you.

Well, I don't wake up an stay up for that long. It''s usually for 20 minutes or half an hour, not longer, or else I don't become lucid. Just my experience.

      Welcom to the forum!

Snowy Egypt was right when it comes to WBTB. Some people stay up for an hour or longer, and others go back to bed pretty quickly. For me about 5 minutes is all I need. WBTB can be paired with a WILD, MILD, or anyother method that you need to be fairly aware to do. Some peopel just do a WBTB. During it they focus on their desire to have an LD. Then they go back to bed and hope for a DILD.

      And welcome from me!
