Thread: New to exploring lucid dreams

so ive been exploring this phoenonmon and it sounds awesome i think ive actually done it before i remember having this zombie dream like a year ago and a couple days ago i had it again and so i thought to my self wtf i know whats gonna happen ppl are gonna scream and zombies gonna come running towards me and it happened then i thought wtf im dreaming then i remember talking to myself in my mind and shouting AHAAHHAA whilst i was running away from them i was like wow this is so real and i was being realy brave n going close to them it was fun but it ended sooon as i got stuck in a farhouse roof and i was surrowned by them then i forgot i was dreaming but it was awesome anyhow i found these forums and there about 8 different Lucid dreams it will be very helpfull if you could post meaning for your slang words please? like...

DC's = dream characters
LD = lucid dreams

i wanna know what WILD is and DILD isit? and otehr things thanks for your help i look forward to foruming!

A DILD is when you are in the middle of a dream, and suddenly realize, "Whoa, I'm dreaming!" A WILD is going directly from being awake to being in a lucid dream, with no lapse in consciousness. You can find much more useful information in the tutorial section of the forums. Good luck!

Forgetting that you're dreaming is an annoyance, but it happens. I think the first step is to get a dream journal and then figure out some dream signs. Reality checks are also something to get used to.

yeah ive started a dream journal last night and its going ok im just about to go bed wish me luck thanks for the link for acronums and im going to try and learn reality checks thanks what would be the best one which 1 would u recommend for me?

Plug your nose and try to breathe through it. Not only does it work exceptionally well, it feels pretty cool when it happens.
