      Hello, are my dreams unusual?

Last night I had about 5 or 6 very intense non-lucid dreams which motivated me to research some dreaming which brought me to this site.

I haven't tried any of the techniques on the main topics page, but I've read thruogh it all,I've lucid dreamed before, one that stands out to me is one I realized I was dreaming with the "cue" of not being able to screen, an old lady on a pirate ship had an axe and it was somehow cutting my ankle, I tried to yell out, "DAD" but I realized I wasn't making any noise, then I realized that, I was yelling, "DAD" in my thoughts, and I then switched to actual vocal chords and screamed again, only in real life WHILE I was sleeping, then I woke up to my parents shaking me because I was screaming "dad" in my sleep!

This was years ago when I was probably 6-10 I can't remember.

My goal in dreaming is to access parts of my mind that would not be possible any other way, and to be able to reach higher planes of thought at will, to be able to access my body while unconscious.

Many of my recent dreams contain many states of mine indescribable for words, like say, describing sight to a man who has never used his eyes, or soudn to a deaf person.

They are no longer situations and situations (well, they are sometimes) but they are mostly situations filled with these "states of mind" tonight I will try to lucid dream, I'll tell myself before I go to sleep to do so, and perform reality checks as much as possible and try and get it stuck in my mind to do so.

Tell me, is this common? the "not being able to scream" being a lucid cue, but the screaming in my sleep and knowing that I'm accessing my actual vocal chords? and rather then mostly psychedelic situations and scenarios, moreso states of mind indescribable by conscious thought and words

Could I or anyone with practice be able to stand up and walk around, or say perform day to day actions while unconscious? Or maybe even open my eyes while asleep? (probably not, too many distractions) Hmm.

Well what does anyone think? I just came here to share my thoughts on all this.
