1. Is it possible to meet people in your dreams and have a talk with them or just hang out with them?
2. If the above is possible, is it also possible to meet people who have passed away?

Of course it is... I mean what isn't possible in a dream? Your imagination is your limit!

3. What is a lucid dream like, is it like real life, or is it just a (vague) memory when you wake up?

Well about the memory thing... that'll entirely depend on your ability to recall dreams. Dream Recall. And it really differs about the feeling of the dream. It's a dream, they always change. You might have one lucid dream that's very realistic, just like real life, and the next night you might have a blurry "muddy" one.

4. Can you become lucid without having to wake up during the night?

Yes, you can eventually try with reality checks and practicing dream signs. This would help you recognize things in your dreams that would make you know you're dreaming. I suggest taking a look in the tutorial board Will clear a lot of things up for you.

I think I remembered a dream this morning, although it was a very lame one, haha

Oh well, I'll see what tomorrow holds in store for me.

Edit: I've been reading through the staying lucid page, and I'm still wondering, how do you act in a dream? how do you start spinning in your dream?
It all seems so weird.

Also, is it possible to practise certain skills, and have it affect your skills in the real world?
And, Does your personality change in any way during a lucid dream?
Is it also possible to play certain songs in your dream on the guitar, of which you do not know the notes, and when you wake up, are able to play them just fine, as if you knew the songs for a long time?

Just like you would do in real life In the dream you control yourself just as you do in real life.

Well.. from what I know and think then no, you gotta remember that a dream is very "manipulative" ^^ And so it'll all be much different when you try in the real world. Maybe users would be able to chip in with their experiences on this one, but I wouldn't believe so myself.

Depends on the level of control. If you're fully in control and fully aware then nope, you're yourself. I mean all it really is, is being awake but you're in a dream. You could think of it like that.

I wouldn't think so, no Your mind won't know beyond what you already know ^^

Yes, it's all about how easy you get them. Maybe experience with different techniques and see which ones works best for you etc.

Well, about the song playing question, it is possible to actually hear the notes in a song.
If I can hear those notes in my dream and play it, wouldn't I, if I'm lucky remember it (partially) ?

Ever heard "Touching tongues" by Steve Vai? Well I was addicted to it for a while but couldn't find a tab for it. The one night I had a dream that I was playing one particular section from it, then I woke up, and briefly remembered that I had played it in my dream. My dream was very finger-focused so I could remember what I did, so I picked up my guitar and I played it, and yes, it sounded right, barring a few notes. When I played it against the actual song it was a whole tone too low, but when I shifted it up it sounded right.

I know this sounds a bit anecdotal and made up, but I'm not trying to prove it to you. I'm just saying that I personally know that it can happen.

Awesome to hear, as I know a band of which there are loads of great songs, I just can't find tabs for it anywhere

I think the reason Zotoaster was able to do it is that he already have the ability to listen his way to the tabs himself I don't think it's something you're able to do "just like that". hehe.

SomeDreamer has a point. Not blowing my own horn, but with all my years of practice, learning given patterns and being able to hear them in songs does help me along the way, even when reading tabs. I can't say that it still wont work in a dream (my dream wasn't lucid btw), so you'll probably have to find out yourself somehow.
