      Ok, a few questions.

Hello everyone, I am new here, and I am absolutely astounded by the idea of lucid dreams. I have read quite a few guides on the various techniques, but I am beginning to question my ability to actually do it. I have a few questions regarding the topic at this point in time, so I figure what better way to clear them up then to ask the pros?

1.) I have had no dreams, (that I can remember) within the past... month? Or so. This of course could be caused by multiple things such as though I was in Philmont Scout Ranch for 15 days and BSA Scout Camp for 7 this month. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is or how I can do it? Reading some of the guides here now, it would seem as though I have been having dreams, just I am unable to remember any of them once I wake up.

2.) I have read about reality checks, and it sounds quite simple, but the reality checks are associated with "DJ"'s, and I do not know what a DJ is >.>

3.) I read about WBTB and WILD and DILD, and a few others, and read one great post about WILD while being awake, at any time during the day, and is there any way to do this? I read about this, and it was basically the same as a normal WILD, just not sleeping, so I am still mildly confused about this.

Thank you very much in advance for answering some if not all of these questions. Thanks,

      Geeome.

Edit: I looked some more, and found DJ = Dream Journal, which I will start today if I somehow remember a dream that I have xD

      Hey there

[disclaymer: I'm new here myself, so please forgive me for any inaccuracy in my post ]

      1) Indeed, you dream all the time, it's just that you can't remember your dreams. Dream recall is something you can learn and improve, for example by starting a dream journal or merely by dealing with the subject (reading/thinking about it, ...).

      2) I saw you found that by yourself

Thank you very much for the quick reply. Just another question...

What is a dream guide? I read that it is a conscience, or that it is just some imagined being, but I have also just recently (Today) Read that it is a spiritual being have something to do with god.

Some things that I 'learned' today is that to our minds, the "dream world" is just as real as the "awake world"... Therfore, anything could be true or false about anything there. Memory is just your brain. Just like the "dream world" and "awake world" deal, where either one could be any more real than the other, the same concept goes for memorie. Which I believe is something along the lines of that you can remember anything that has ever happened, and anything that you want to, if you tell your brain.

I also am no longer an atheist and now have a small belief in the "astral" world, and just now understand what happens when you die, with the bodily essences separating from the astral essences in death completely, where as "dream world" is only separating these two essences a little bit. But that would mean in order for your spirit guide to have more lucidity than you in a "dream world"... he/she would have to be someone that has already been completely detached from the bodily essences.

These are just some ideas, sorry for bringing religion to this forum, I saw it in a different post where someones spirit guide made a connection to them and the old testament, (Which they had never read, disproving the theory that the spirit guide is just a conscience) and the name of their guide was actually a gentile in the old testament... So that is why I made the religious connection there.

This is getting a lot thicker than I thought it was going to be xD

Dream guides are recurring dream characters that can serve any helpful purpose, from helping you do tasks in LDs to leading you around. I've never really bothered to find mine but I might try to sometime.
