Smile How long does it take to have lucid dreams each night?

It took Dr. Laberge 3 years, didn't it? But that was before he invented techniques to lucid dreaming. How long would it take ME to learn how to lucid dream each night? I think I have a head start. I had a lucid dream 2 nights ago (the first night after I learned about them) and I have decent dream recall that I will start working on. I think I have an age advantage too (I am 15).

But last night I tried WBTB in conjunction with MILD and I didn't remember having any lucid dreams when I woke up. I got really frustrated. I think tonight, I will just try to remember all of my dreams instead of trying for a lucid dream.

So how long will it take on average for me to become experienced enough to be able to have lucid dreams each night? I'd rather not get answers like "It depends on many things. Everyone is different," because I already know that. I am looking for an estimate.

      Thanks.

First of all, you gotta be patient. I'm thrilled if I have a lucid every week or two days in a row. Learning how to WILD almost at will would be a good way to potentially have a lucid every night. Another method to try after working on your recall for a while would be DEILD. Here's a tutorial on it:

I can't really give an estimate on how long it would take based on anything, so I'll just have to guess. 4.5 years. Good luck, and don't get discouraged!

So if I had randomly guessed 8 months you would have been happy? I'm just basing it off of my limited experience. In my last 7+ months of trying, I've only had 21(give or take). You could start having them every night tomorrow for all I know.

I was just joking. Thanks for your estimation.

I will keep trying. Every night until I am an expert.

No one can easily say how long its going to take. Some people have had them every day, and remembered them all, since they were 5 or 6 years old.

Its different for every person. It could take months or years. Maybe longer, maybe shorter. Its hard to estimate.

Well, I'll try to have a lucid dream for a couple months. After that, I might revive this thread.
