      First WILD attempt

      So I stumbled across this site a few days ago, and have always had an interest in lucid dreaming. So i decided to try it out. I've been keeping a DJ for two days, and do RCs. I decided I would try a WILD this afternoon, just for fun.

      so this afternoon, i layed down on my bed, and began counting my breaths. Around 575 I begin to feel tingly (SP i think) in my toes and eventually my feet and arms. I eventually got up to about 2,000 breaths, but never entered lucidity, and I gave up eventually ( I was really sick of concentrating).

      I've read the tutorials, but want to know some other peoples opinions on what i should do next time.

      Hey! I'm kind of new with WILDing but I never got to 2000 before . Only takes me 150-300 to start to become crazy numb. What you should do is just relax before trying by just reading a book or staring at a wall . Never tried the wall one but relaxing before hand helps.

      EDIT> Also WILD may not be a method that fits you :O! Try others to see what helps. Some methods are better then others to some people !

      DILD = 2
      WILD = 1

      That's what happens to me. I get somewhere with WILD if I combine it with a WBTB.

      But I as well would like to master the WILD for the afternoon. Some do it, so it's not impossible.

      What you need to do is first calm yourself down and bring yourself to a state of near-sleep. You can't be riled up at all or be nervous or excited in the slightest. After that, you need to find a technique that both keeps you awake and doesn't let your attention wander too much.

      My problem is I either stay at it too long getting nowhere or I end up losing consciousness when I end up trying it in the afternoon. Needless to say, I haven't figured out how to do what I outlined above, but I have figured out what I need to do. I hope it helps.
